My Story

I love understanding how storytelling helps or hinders human potential.

Hello there. I’m Courtney Quattrini, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #141521).

When I was young, I wanted to be a journalist. I was always obsessed with getting to the bottom of a story and understanding why things were the way they were. I ended up working in public relations, and for twenty years, I told stories for some of the world’s best-known brands and organizations.

That same passion for stories that initially sent me toward my first career in journalism and public relations is the bedrock of my true calling to be a therapist, working with the stories of life.

I am working toward board licensure and currently see clients at San Francisco Family Therapy, a private practice (supervised by Maryellen P. Mullin (LMFT #45966), and at Remarkable Marriage and Family Institute as a school-based and virtual therapist (supervised by James Parker, LMFT #47548).

I completed my clinical traineeship with the Western Institute for Social Research's Center for Child and Family Development, where I provided therapy for children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade in partnership with caregivers and educators. I hold a Master of Arts in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Communication from Buffalo State University. I have completed Gottman Training Levels One and Two and am working toward MFT board licensure.
